KnapSac can backup an OpenVMS disk to a Windows disk up to 20 times faster that the Backup utility can
perform a similar disk-to-disk backup. A backup which takes hours using the Backup utility can be done in
minutes using KnapSac.
The chart below compares the elapsed time to backup a 31 Gigabyte user disk to Windows using KnapSac
and a disk-to-disk backup of the same user disk using Backup. The comparisons were done on an Integrity
Server running OpenVMS 8.3.
